ENERGET – Empowering Next-gen Energy Leaders for a Green Energy Transition

Call: Erasmus+ KA220-HED
Duration: September 2025 – September 2027
Scientific Coordinator: Stelios Xanthos

The ENERGET (Empowering Next-gen Energy Leaders for a Green Energy Transition) project aims to address contemporary energy challenges through the development of innovative educational solutions that support the transition towards a green and sustainable economy. The core objective of the project is the design and implementation of an interdisciplinary master’s-level curriculum focusing on energy communities, integrating topics related to renewable energy sources, circular economy, energy policies, and governance of energy systems.

Within the framework of the project, modern teaching materials will be developed, while the curriculum will be tested and further refined through summer schools and pilot activities. The project also emphasizes the active involvement of academic staff and local experts to ensure the practical applicability of its outcomes. In parallel, national playbooks on energy communities will be produced, tailored to the institutional and socio-economic context of each participating country.

The International Hellenic University participates in the ENERGET project as a partner, contributing to the development of educational content and the preparation of the Greek national playbook on energy communities. Through its involvement, the University strengthens its role in education and research related to sustainable energy systems and the green energy transition.
