The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the International Hellenic University is always delighted to welcome visiting professors through the Erasmus+ programme. During the last week of June, Professor Ruslans Smigins, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, visited our department under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching programme. During his visit, Professor Smigins delivered lectures to our undergraduate and postgraduate students, collaborated with members of our laboratory, and held productive discussions with faculty members and PhD students on current research activities and future opportunities for cooperation. The visit also included demonstrations of our latest state of the art research equipment and facilities, followed by discussions on strengthening and expanding the long standing collaboration between our two institutions. We sincerely thank Professor Smigins for his visit and look forward to welcoming him back to the International Hellenic University in the near future.
