The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management of the International Hellenic University (IHU), a partner and host institution for the academic year 2026–2027 of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “ECOLUTION,” successfully participated in the in-person laboratory activities conducted during the project’s first mobility period at the Czech University of Life Sciences (CZU) in Prague, Czech Republic, from 8 to 12 June 2026.
During their stay, the students spent hours in CZU’s laboratories and teaching facilities, working with both hardware and software to develop data acquisition systems. During the first week, they gained hands-on experience using educational microcontroller platforms such as Arduino and learned the principles of data acquisition, processing, and analysis based on real-world measurements using the RStudio software environment.
During the second week, the students collaborated with colleagues from AgriWatch and Evolutionary Archetypes on topics related to Internet of Things (IoT) systems, environmental monitoring, and the academic aspects of their industrial internships and MSc theses. This collaboration provided an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary teamwork, knowledge exchange, and international cooperation within a multicultural academic environment.
The students greatly enjoyed their stay in Prague and highly appreciated the modern, fully equipped laboratories, the excellent teaching facilities, and the warm hospitality offered by the Czech University of Life Sciences.
The educational activities of the ECOLUTION project will continue during the next academic year at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management of the International Hellenic University in Greece, where the next mobility period will provide participants with further opportunities for practical training, laboratory activities, and international collaboration.
